Paige DeShazo 

My passion to become a teacher started before I was of the school age. Often times you could find me teaching a classroom full of stuffed animals, baby dolls, or occasionally, my family members. During my middle childhood and early adolescent years, I was always babysitting, involved with Vacation Bible School at church, or helping out in my mom's classroom. In high school I was placed in a kindergarten classroom as a teacher's aide, and my heart completely melted everyday. I began to see that it wasn't all about teaching the subjects, but life lessons were taught each day. My eyes were truly opened to how much the teacher loved and cared for her students. She made sure that she invested however much time needed for those children to be successful students in and outside the classroom. As a teacher, my passion will not only be to educate my students, but instill in them a character that is truly theirs that sets them apart from everyone around them.
